The Program i have found that works best is ad-aware. The best way currently though to aviod pop-ups is to stop using internet explorer and start using FireFox this browser works great you will have to download java apps and others to get all sites to work properly.

Hi Hay997 - welcome to TSF,
Please download Adaware SE and install it (if you don't have it already). - Make sure it's the newest version and check for any updates before running it. - Go to this Site to get the plug-in for fixing VX2 variants. - Also make sure to Customize the settings in Adaware for better scan results. - Run the scan now and fix everything that it finds. Download Spybot 1.3 and install it (if you don't have it already). - update the definitions file and run a scan now. Fix all the entries, which are indicated in RED. Download CWShredder (If you already have CWShredder on your PC – Open it and click the update button first) Click on 'Fix' now (it will automatically fix anything it finds for you). If it asks if you want to delete a certain random file, choose No and post that filename here. Download HijackThis - this program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Create a folder at C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe there. Run a scan and save the log file. Get HijackThis Analyzer and save it to the same folder as the hijackthis.log file. Run HijackThis Analyzer and type in y if you agree. Open up the result.txt file created. Copy the whole result.txt log and post it back here. Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless. 4SG |

Hello, and welcome to TSF!
Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below. Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' (or 'Show all files') is enabled. Also make sure that 'Display the contents of system folders' is checked. If you have Windows XP, the search feature is a little different. When you click on 'All files and folders' on the left pane, click on the 'More advanced options' at the bottom. Make sure that 'Search system folders', 'Search hidden files and folders', and 'Search subfolders' are checked. For the options that you checked/enabled earlier, you may uncheck them after your log is clean. If we ask you to fix a program that you use or want to keep, please post back saying that (we don't know every program that exists, so we may tell you to delete a program that we think is bad to keep). =============== Download, unzip to your desktop CWShredder and run it, then: 1. Click "Check For Update" (If an update isn't available, skip to step #4.) 2. Click "Click here to Download the upate". 3. When the new version has been downloaded, click "Save". 4. Click "Fix ->" =============== Run HiJackThis then: 1. Click "Config..." 2. Click "Misc Tools" 3. Click "Open Process manager" - Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate (if present) and click on (highlight) each of the following: c:\windows\system32\rhtgnsc.exe Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click "Kill process". Now, click "Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain. =============== Run HiJackThis and click "Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present: R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = about:blank O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5EDB03AF-0341-4e96-9E9B-3171522E4BAF} - (no file) O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [o3sV35P] dusrmnet.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [mruizf] c:\windows\system32\rhtgnsc.exe O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [tvs_re] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\tvs_re_inst.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Z039RRjEj] tooley.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [umuq] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\umuq\umuqm.exe O15 - Trusted Zone: *.musicmatch.com O15 - Trusted Zone: *.musicmatch.com (HKLM) O16 - DPF: {01113300-3E00-11D2-8470-0060089874ED} (Support.com Configuration Class) - http://support.fastaccess.com/sdcco...oad/tgctlcm.cab O16 - DPF: {47CD99DF-8BCF-4B9B-94EF-02E51B2F79DA} - http://www.alwaysupdatednews.com/install/aun_0015.exe O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked". =============== Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure your able to view system and hidden files/ folders: folders... C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\umuq files... c:\windows\system32\rhtgnsc.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\tvs_re_inst.exe C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe Search for... dusrmnet.exe tooley.exe ...using "Start | Search...". - Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're 'in use', try deleting them from "Safe Mode". =============== Post back a new log, and let us know how everything goes. |

Still getting the Aurora popup :(
After I completed your instructions, everything was fine. I rebooted my computer, and then I got the Aurora popup again. This thing pops up every time I go to a new page. The other ones are now gone.
A note: When I completed the instructions given, I did not find: c:\windows\system32\rhtgnsc.exe anywhere. All the rest of it was found in the HiJackThis scan. |

You can NOT KILL or END that random named running process. Otherwise it renames itself...so the file you were trying to delete was no longer there.
Download ewido security suite from here… http://www.ewido.net/en/download/ Update it’s database from here.. http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/ Run a scan and let it clean the PC Please download nailfix at http://www.noidea.us/easyfile/file.p...50515010747824 Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet. Reboot into safe mode. Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal. Once complete...reboot back to normal mode and post another log.

HI,
Please print out or copy this page to Notepad since you will not have any of browsers open while you are fixing this. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. Again, you should not have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below. The Temp folders should be cleaned out periodically as installation programs and hijack programs leave a lot of junk there. Download CleanUp! (Alternate Link if main link doesn't work) and install it. Do not run it yet. Reboot your system in Safe Mode (By repeatedly tapping the F8 key until the menu appears). Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any): F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [razin] C:\DOCUME~1\PHILIP~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\rm05040901.Stub .exe Delete the following Files indicated in RED if they still exist. C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe Run CleanUp! and click on CleanUp! button. When it asks you if you want to logoff, click on Yes. Reboot into Normal Mode Download FindIt's.zip http://forums.net-integration.net/in...post&id=142443 to your desktop. 1. Unzip/extract the files inside to a folder on your desktop. 2. Open the folder. Double click on FindIt's.bat and wait for Notepad to open a text file. It will take a while so please be patient... Note: If you are having problems using FindIt's.bat (16 bit error), copy autoexec.nt from the C:\WINDOWS\repair folder to C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder. Now try running FindIt's.bat. 3. Then post the results here along with the new HijackThis log. |

Hi,
Your log is clean. If there are no more problems, you should be good to go. Turn off System Restore Click Start > Right Click My Computer > Properties. Click the System Restore tab and Check "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives". Click Apply. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click Yes to do this then Click OK. Now reenable system restore. This will prevent any reinfection from any previous restore points. To help prevent future spyware installations/infections, please read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial http://www.greyknight17.com/spyware.htm#prevent and use the tools/programs provided. |

It's working great! No pop ups at all! Thank you so much. I would like to donate. I have a PayPal account, with no money in it currently, was using it for Ebay purposes. Is there another way I can pay you??
Thank you again! |
