Greetings, and welcome to TSF!
Download WinsockFix http://www.greyknight17.com/spy/WinsockFix.zip and unzip it. Then double-click on it to run it. Run HiJackThis and click "Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present: O2 - BHO: (no name) - {ED103D9F-3070-4580-AB1E-E5C179C1AE41} - (no file) O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [etbrun] C:\windows\system32\elitenzh32.exe [color=#9933cc] O4 - Global Startup: D-Link AirPlus G Configuration Utility.lnk = ? O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\program files\oemji\oemjisearchplus\sfbnsp.dll Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked". =============== Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure your able to view system and hidden files/ folders: folders... c:\program files\oemji files... C:\windows\system32\elitenzh32.exe - Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're 'in use', try deleting them from "Safe Mode". =============== Post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes. Ok a few things. First of all, I did not see this when I ran HijackThis:
O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\program files\oemji\oemjisearchplus\sfbnsp.dll I also could not find this file, however it still comes up in the log: C:\windows\system32\elitenzh32.exe Second of all, when I tried to "fix selected" it gave me this error: Unexpected error occurred! Error #52 (Bad file name or number) in Sub GetLongPath(?.exe). Please send a report to merijn@spywareinfo.com, mentioning what you were doing, and what version of Windows you have. This message has been copied to your clipboard. Either way, here is my new Analyzer log file. I will keep an eye out for popups and see if this worked so far. Let me know if there is anything else in the log I need to fix. Thanks alot for all of your help. ==================================================================== Log was analyzed using KRC HijackThis Analyzer - Updated on 4/1/05 Get updates at http://www.greyknight17.com/download.htm#programs ***Security Programs Detected*** C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\AdvTools\NPROTECT.EXE C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Security Center\SymWSC.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ccApp] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ccRegVfy] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccRegVfy.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Advanced Tools Check] C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\AdvTools\ADVCHK.EXE O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Symantec NetDriver Monitor] C:\PROGRA~1\SYMNET~1\SNDMon.exe O23 - Service: Symantec Event Manager (ccEvtMgr) - Symantec Corporation - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.exe O23 - Service: Symantec Password Validation Service (ccPwdSvc) - Symantec Corporation - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccPwdSvc.exe O23 - Service: Norton AntiVirus Auto Protect Service (navapsvc) - Symantec Corporation - C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe O23 - Service: Norton Unerase Protection (NProtectService) - Symantec Corporation - C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\AdvTools\NPROTECT.EXE O23 - Service: ScriptBlocking Service (SBService) - Symantec Corporation - C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\SYMANT~1\SCRIPT~1\SBServ.exe O23 - Service: Symantec Network Drivers Service (SNDSrvc) - Symantec Corporation - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SNDSrvc.exe O23 - Service: SymWMI Service (SymWSC) - Symantec Corporation - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\Security Center\SymWSC.exe ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 10:26:12 AM, on 4/22/2005 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\E_S4I2L1.EXE C:\Program Files\D-Link AirPlus G\AirPlus.exe C:\Hijackthis\HijackThis.exe R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = localhost O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [EPSON Stylus CX6400] C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\E_S4I2L1.EXE /P19 "EPSON Stylus CX6400" /O6 "USB001" /M "Stylus CX6400" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [etbrun] C:\windows\system32\elitenzh32.exe O16 - DPF: {238F6F83-B8B4-11CF-8771-00A024541EE3} (WficaCtl Object) - http://ptime.compucom.local/wfica.cab O16 - DPF: {6414512B-B978-451D-A0D8-FCFDF33E833C} (WUWebControl Class) - http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.co...?1097705043680 O16 - DPF: {74D05D43-3236-11D4-BDCD-00C04F9A3B61} (HouseCall Control) - http://a840.g.akamai.net/7/840/537/2...ll/xscan53.cab O16 - DPF: {917623D1-D8E5-11D2-BE8B-00104B06BDE3} (CamImage Class) - http://70.60.51.168/activex/AxisCamControl.cab O16 - DPF: {D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000} (Shockwave Flash Object) - https://download.macromedia.com/pub/...sh/swflash.cab O23 - Service: Kodak Camera Connection Software (KodakCCS) - Eastman Kodak Company - C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\KodakCCS.exe End of KRC HijackThis Analyzer Log. ==================================================================== Last edited by Eclipse2003; 04-22-2005 at 07:34 AM. |

OK, click here and download that program. Unzip it. Boot into Safe Mode and now run it.
Restart and post a new HijackThis log.

Perfect.
Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. Restart your computer uncheck the same box to enable system restore. Your log is clean. To help prevent future spyware installations/infections, please read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial http://www.greyknight17.com/spyware.htm#prevent and use the tools provided. Are there any problems now? If not, you should be set to go.

Works like a charm so far. Thanks alot for all of your help. I actually have another PC that has been having popup problems so if you don't mind helping me with that one also that would be great. I will create a separate thread for it. Once again thanks for all of your help. It is greatly appreciated.
