Hi,
My Mom's computer is booting real slow and shutting down very slowly. The OS is up to date. She uses the latest Symantec NAV, AdAware and Spybot S&D. AdAware scans freeze on a particular file...C:/Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/CDO, I think. Anyways, can the experts in the crowd tell me if she has anything funky left? I would like to rule out spyware as the problem. Thanks! Welcome to TSF.
I can't see anything wrong here. But this version of HijackThis is outdated, so give us a new one. We might ask you to disable some programs to see if that speed things up if nothing is wrong with this new log either. You have an outdated version of HijackThis. Download the newest version at http://www.greyknight17.com/spy/HijackThis.exe and run it. 1. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose 'Do a system scan and save a logfile'. 2. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit Scan and then click on Save log. 3. Post the log contents here.

The log looks clean... PM greyknight17 with a link to this thread. He will be able to tell you whats ok to remove from the startup so that your computer performs better. I'm not saying this will solve your problem, but it may help in some way.
