OK that ID 564FFB73-9EEF-4969-92FA-5FC4A92E2C2A is related to the SafeGuard PC Shield program that we removed earlier. Make sure you don't have that program listed in the Add/Remove panel anymore. Also check c:\program files\ to make sure it's not there.

Check the box to remember your selection so it's blocked permanently.

Restart. Any more problems now?

I could not find any SafeGuard PC Shield or the ID in my computer, so I assume it's gone. Spybot is returning a clean system as well. So thank you for your help there. The ID is still attempting to install itself on startup, and I click deny in Spywareguard, but there is no box to check to make it permanent. Could this be a problem or just an inconvenience?

OK, is there an option for you to Remove the BHO when SpywareGuard pops up? Does it give you the location of the BHO also?

Yeah spywareguard allows me to remove it, but when windows starts up again it comes back. all it says is The following BHO has been added to your system {564FFB73-9EEF-4969-5FC4A92E2C2A} ProgID: n/a, File location: n/a I get the option to remove or keep it, but it keeps coming back when I do remove it. I have searched for the ID in regedit, and did not find it.

OK, let's try this. Uninstall both Spybot and SpywareGuard. Then make sure to delete their folders in Program Files if still there. Now reinstall both programs. Restart and see if that BHO is still detected now.

Excellent. I reinstalled spywareguard and spybot, and on reboot that pesky BHO was gone, and all scans reveal a clean system.

I thank you for your help. you do good work.
