Another Silly Hijack!

I have been hijacked by the "SillyP2P Trojan",and I can not get rid of it. I have done everything by the book.PC CILLIN detected,but it will only quarentine it,but it always returning.There is no info on Trend Micro database on this hicjaker. I know ,I am not the only one with this problem,but after reading some of the solutions,I understand that this problem is computer specific.I have ran Hijack this,and I am enclosing the log.
I am running Windows XP Pro, 20Gig HD,256 Ram, with all the whistles.
The Trojan named BKDR_SILLYP2P.A is located in the Windows, System 32 folder,and using the file Kernell32.dll
If you need more info.please let me know.

Download CWShredder and run it. Click on 'I Agree' button if you agree with it. Click on 'Fix' (it will automatically fix anything it finds for you) and OK. If it asks if you want to delete a certain random file, choose No and post that filename here. Let it finish the scan and then hit Next and Exit.

Download and install Spybot S&D. Run Spybot and click on the 'Search for Updates' button. Install any updates that are available. Next click on the 'Check for Problems' button. Let it run the scan. If it finds something, check all those in RED and hit the Fix Selected Problems button. Exit Spybot. If you keep getting the DSO Exploit entries, even after you updated Windows and fixed them, then download the Spybot DSO Exploit Fix and install it over the current Spybot installation.

Please download Ad-aware SE and install it if you don't have it already. Make sure it's the newest version and check for any updates before running it. Also go here to get the plug-in for fixing VX2 variants. To run this tool, go into Ad-aware->Add-ons and select VX2 Cleaner. Then click Run Tool and OK to start it. If it's clean, it will say Status System Clean. Otherwise, you will have to click on the Clean button to remove the VX2 infection. Also make sure to customize the settings in Ad-aware for better scan results. Run the scan and fix everything that it finds.

Please download HijackThis - this program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Create a folder at C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe there. Double click on the program to run it.

1. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose 'Do a system scan and save a logfile'.
2. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit Scan and then click on Save log.
3. Get HijackThis Analyzer and save it to the same folder as the hijackthis.log file. Run HijackThis Analyzer and type in y if you agree. The result.txt file will open up in Notepad. Copy the whole result.txt log and post it in the HijackThis forum. We do not need the original hijackthis.log (unless we ask for it). Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless.

I did followed your instructions,and I am going to tell you the results.
I ran CWShreder, it did not find anything.
Ran Spybot,found one Spyware,and deleted.
Ran AdAware in normal mode,and found some tracking sites, I got rid of them.
Then, I ran Afaware with the additional settings,but unfortunately, after 12 hours of scanning, it finds a few more spies,but when it stars performing conditional scannings it stays there and nothing happens,therefore, I have no choice but to stop the scanning.
I then continue with HijackThis,and HijackThis Analyzer,and I am posting the Log,as per your instructions.
If you need me to perform any additional test,after this,please let me know.

I see none of that trojans files running on your system.

Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing/visible also. Then do a search for the following files and report back what you find and in which directorys...

1. Make sure you have any script blocking software disabled
2. Run the program. It will take a few minutes to complete.
3. Once complete it will produce a log named “StartupPrograms” with Your user and date in the filename. Open that txt file and posts it contents in your next post.

Umonitor among others
1. Unzip (It must be unzipped) the files to a folder on your desktop.
2. Open the qoologic folder, run qoologic.bat from there and wait for it to finish.
3. It will take awhile so wait until the dos window disappears and disk activity stops.
4. Then open the text file it created… found here c:\log.txt and paste the contents into your next post.

Press 'Config'
Press 'Mark All'

UN-Check the 'NT-Services & NT-Kernel...' boxes only:
Press 'Ok'

Press 'Save' and select the location to save the log file (default is the same folder as the application)

Thank guys for your assistance. I finally had a chance to read this forum again,since it has been on and off for awhile.
I have been having serious problems with this computer ,besides the attack by the viruses and spyware. It froze up,and it is refusing to to do anything else,therefore, I have decided not to continue with the clean up effort,and wipe everything out with DriveCleanser,and start fresh. I will clean and reformat the hard drive,and install windows XP again,along with the other programs,that I have.
