Can't Kill A Process?
hello.
![]() so recently i found my old memory stick and i plugged it in to see what i had in it. it had some old school stuff but also had shortcut icons to like, a music folder, picture folder, etc. i tried opening one and it apparently was some kinda adware im guessing? i honestly dont know the difference. well apparently i had allowed one past the windows firewall called puoiw.exe. i didn't know what it was until i was surfing the web and it opened another page of firefox with multible tabs of stuff like "dream vacation, 50% off sports equiptment," so i know now its not a help to my laptop. i opened up task manager to kill the process, but it wouldn't end it, neither would it let me end any other process. i searched for the file location and its in my main folder where i have documents and pictures and stuff. but it doesn't show up. i tried showing all the hidden folders and still didnt show up. i deleted it from the registry editor but the next time i turned on my laptop it was back. any ideas? it hasn't caused any major problems but i want to stop it before it does.
