Re: HELP, trojans that dont seem to want to go
Hello and Welcome to TSF.
We no longer use HijackThis as our initial analysis tool. Additionally, whoever is going to be doing the work on the machine should be communicating here. Third party helping can get confused. Some information on one of the items I see in the log http://www.threatexpert.com/report.a...81b84344fce09a Info on another item: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/star...sed-24660.html http://www.threatexpert.com/report.a...17928c6d18edbe One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor trojan. This type of infection allows hackers to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and download and execute files without your knowledge. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation. You can read this: How Do I Handle Possible Identify Theft, Internet Fraud and CC Fraud? Your friend might want to consider formatting the machine if it's used for website design, and contact those site owners about possible infection of their sites. If they still wish to try to clean this.... We want all our members to perform the steps outlined in the link I'll give you below, before posting for assistance. There's a sticky at the top of this forum, and a Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please have your friend follow our pre-posting process outlined here: NEW INSTRUCTIONS - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help After running through all the steps, you shall have a proper set of logs. Please post them in a new topic, as this one shall be closed. If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply. Please note that the Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help forum is extremely busy, and it may take a while to receive a reply.
