Virus/Trojan seems very bad
Hi,
This virus came from an executable file I stupidly opened. Once I opened the file, it initiated some sort of installer or extractor in the command prompt and then I started getting virus alerts from AVG. The trojans and virusus were located in system 32. I noticed that programs were not working one-by-one, they began behaving strangely. The virus seemed to be targeting *.exe files in system 32 folder. I have lost administrator privledges on the computer as a result of this virus as well, so it is making it very difficult to perform certain required actions such as the DDS.COM scan. I get the error: "An unknown error occured. The process will be terminated." At first I could not open task manager as well...after running malwarebytes I was able to. Websites I google, sometime are redirected to different sites as well. This virus seems to really have messed my computer up. I have run: AVG free 8.5.422 Malwarebytes 1.41 Adaware 8.1.0 Spybot-Search and Destroy 1.6.2.46 AVG seems to find the virus in system32, but they are "whitelisted" so cannot be deleted. Thanks. |

Re: Virus/Trojan seems very bad
Are you able to boot into safe mode (tap F8 upon start up till menu option appears > arrow up to safe mode)
If so, try running DDS in safe mode. Please post the MBAM log |
