Slow Internet

Little background: I can connect to the internet. However, sometimes pages don't fully load and I have to reload the page a few times before it will. Also, I can not stream videos or music. I also have a problem with closing and re-opening firefox, not sure if that is due to malware or just firefox and vista not getting along. It says Firefox is still open and is not responding and I have to open the task manager and close it.
I also hate to admit that I caved to my hedonistic desire to listen to music without paying. I had limewire on my computer for a little bit and I'm willing to bet more than a little bit of money that's where the problem came from.

I did. I tried to run it and it crashed my computer.
