Help with HJT log to remove webhancer

Hi Tech support team members,

First of all thanks a ton for having such a great tech support online . Today in the morning I somehow got infected with the Elitetoolbar adware. Using the information available online ( mostly on techonlineforum site) and my knowledge about computers, I have removed successfully the Elitetoolbar adware ( hopefully ) from my computer. I also found that webhancer is also installed on my computer so downloaded HijackThis to fix it up. Please let me know the steps to clean my computer using hijackthis . Thanks a ton again for ur help..
The log is as follows:

Please Keep your browser and all open programs closed (except firewalls and antivirus) when you are carrying out the fixes.

Turn off System Restore instructions (WinXP)
Rightclick My Computer | Properties | System Restore | check “Turn off System Restore”, <Apply>, <OK>. Reboot. When we have confirmed that your log file is clean, you may renable System Restore and create a new restore point.

SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS.
To show hidden files instructions (WinXP)
Doubleclick My Computer | Tools | Folder Options | View tab
Select Show Hidden Files and Folders
Uncheck Hide extensions for known file types
Uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)
Select Apply to All Folders | Yes | Apply | OK
------------------------------------------------------------------

Download and run Adaware & SpyBot (check for updates) for a preliminary cleanup first. Some files below may not be present after running the above programs.Full instructions below.

How to setup Ad-Aware
Download Ad-Aware SE build 1.05

If you have a previous version of AdAware installed, you will be prompted to uninstall or keep the older version during installation. Be sure to choose Uninstall The Previous Version. Save aawsepersonal.exe into its own directory, NOT in a TEMPorary folder or on the Desktop. I recommend c:/program files/Adaware/
Doubleclick aawsepersonal.exe. Make sure to direct the program to install in the c:/program files/adaware/ directory, NOT the default directory.
Open AdAware from Start | Programs | Lavasoft | AdAware.
Select <Check for updates now>, <Proceed>
After installation, run the program and click the start button. Then click the next button. This lets ad-aware scan your computer.
After ad-aware is done running, hit the next button. Then right click the area with the listed spy ware objects.Choose the "Select all objects" option.
At this point all the boxes next to the items should be checked. Then hit the next button.
It will ask if you want to delete the selected objects. Hit the Okay button.
Now most of the spyware should have been deleted from your hard drive.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

How to setup Spybot Search & Destroy
Download Spybot

Save spybotsd13.exe into its own directory, NOT in a TEMPorary folder or on the Desktop.
I recommend c:/program files/spybot/
Doubleclick spybotsd13.exe. Make sure to direct the program to install in the c:/program files/spybot/ directory, NOT the default directory.
Open Spybot from Start | Programs | Spybot | Spybot S&D
Select <Search for Updates>. Let it install all updates. This is very important!
Select <Immunize>
Select <Check for Problems>
Check all entries that are in RED. Only RED, NOTHING ELSE. For your records, write/print out each item that you have fixed. Date it.
Select <Fix Selected Problems>
Close Spybot//

------------------------------------------------------

Download LSP-Fix from the following link and save it to a location you can find later if necessary.

LSP-Fix Download Link http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lspfix.php

Follow these steps to remove Webhancer:
Click on start, settings, control panel.

Double-click on the Add/Remove Programs icon.
Uninstall Webhancer from the listing of programs

Delete the following files and directories if they exist.
c:\program files\webhancer
c:\windows\webhdll.dll
c:\windows\whagent.inf
c:\windows\whInstaller.exe
c:\windows\whInstaller.ini

If you can not connect to the Internet after removing Webhancer, please run the LSP-Fix program I had you download earlier, and click on the finish button. Reboot and you should be able to get back on.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Files highlighted in BLACK will need to be removed from your hard drive.

Folders that have been highlighted RED will need to be uninstalled.
------------------------------------------------------------------

Please start by putting HJT in SAFE MODE. During reboot, tap the F8 key. Select Safe Mode
------------------------------------------------------------------

Uninstall these programs (if they still exist) from Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs

Problem in running Adaware

Hi Pancake,
I installed the Adaware SE build 1.05 in the proper directory (C:Program Files /adaware ) and tried to run the full scan . But every time it sends a warning " SYSTEM SHUTDOWN PROCESS INITIATED BY NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM" with the reason , " WINDOWS must restart now as DCOM Server Process Launcher Service is terminated unexpectedly ". Any hints !! ( another i didn't uncheck the system restore option before running the adaware as i did it even before reading ur reply)

Hi Pancake,

except running Adaware, I have done everything as you suggested. Things seem to be okay now ( till now i didn't get that nasty popup about miraclesearch again ). Thanks a ton for your help. Here is the latest HJT log file:

Successfully executed Ad-aware

Hey Pancake, too thanks ..not only for telling me the workaround for Ad-aware but to let me introduce to grc.com as well. While going through the ad-aware site , i also invested 2 hrs browsing through the gibson website and came to know a hell lot more about the stuff.

Neway, crap apart, i did try again ad-aware , and it ran smoothly .
cheers

new log

Hi Pancake, below is the new HJT log.

Also, I observed, everytime I try to close IE , my spybot sd resident warn me
a registry change ( addition) of value:
OE5CBF21-D15F-11D0-8301-00AA005B4383

This value is same, independent of the webpage I visited. Do you think it is due to elitetoolbar, or just due to the fact that i have changed the homepage to a local html file (file:///G:/web-page/home_page.html).
