Total Security Virus

Hello, my other computer is infected with the total security fake anti virus crap.

Pop ups telling me to buy their fake *** software.

Anyway, this virus is pretty good because they have closed every attempt I've made to remove it.

I cannot:

Run any .exe or any other file
Cannot use IE or Chrome
Cannot use task manager
Cannot boot in safe mode
Tried using a Kaspersky portable, no luck

Please help me, I do not want to reformat it.

Re: Total Security Virus

Please visit this webpage for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/comb...o-use-combofix

Rename ComboFix.exe to Svchost.exe. If that fails, rename it to ComboFix.com

Post the log from ComboFix when you've accomplished that.

Re: Total Security Virus

combo fix shows the load bar and once it completes nothing happens

renaming it to combofix to combofix.com makes it unuseable

Re: Total Security Virus

Please post an update. It would be ideal if you can post some logs.
