Trojan Horse: file access denied

I'm using Norton Internet Security 2006; when doing a routine scan, a VIRUS ALERT window popped up - unable to repair file; access to the file was denied.

I called Norton and they want $100 to remotely remove the virus.

I am on Windows XP

Before the scan I loaded iTunes and Microsoft Media software.

Please help and I WILL make a donation.
