user accounts password protected, firewall disabled
Alright... so I deleted limewire, utorrent and hamachi to make sure they weren't feeding the virus that I found... without any luck. After the uninstall, the virus was still there, and every time I try to delete it in C:/WINDOWS/system32, it says access is denied, and that it may be a full disk, or right protected...
Not sure what to do here, it also won't let me install anything, or run system restore. Hope you can fix this somehow.... Sincerely, Bobishawsm |

Re: user accounts password protected, firewall disabled
Hello -
As you were told in a previous topic a couple months ago...we work from logs here. If you suspect that the machine is infected, and would like assistance in removing it... We want all our members to perform the steps outlined in the link I'll give you below, before posting for assistance. There's a sticky at the top of this forum, and a Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please follow our pre-posting process outlined here: NEW INSTRUCTIONS - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help After running through all the steps, you shall have a proper set of logs. Please post them in a new topic, as this one shall be closed. If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply. Please note that the Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help forum is extremely busy, and it may take a while to receive a reply. If you can't run any tools at all, a format and reinstall, or System Recovery (not System Restore) using the manufacturer's recovery partition or recovery disks may be in order.
