Disk management can't locate C drive

Looks like I picked up a virus.

Disk manager can't locate C drive, only DVD/CD drive. Win Explorer shows drives OK. Also, My browser gets redirected every time I click on a link.

I am using Symantec Anti-virus 10.1. I've done the basic full scan, shows something called Backdoor.Tidserv.inf, but it won't delete. Not sure if that's my problem or not.

This is the same problem that gibby1282 posted on may 12, 2009, resolved by Amateur on May 15. I haven't done any of the steps in that post, decided i better get "guided" by someone who knows what they are doing.

I read the First Steps instructions posted as well, have downloaded the scans recommended, but have not run any of the scans until i'm instructed to do so.

I am glad you decided to wait for someone to help. The infections are specific to each machine, regardless how similar the symptoms may appear.
