Mouse problems linked with virus... I think.

I have been having big mouse problems which I can't seem to fix! I will try to explain everything in as much detail as possible... lol. When I am on the computer, my mouse will sometimes randomly start acting up. When the problem occurs the right-click won't work, and sometimes the left-click won't work either, the task bar, icons, basically anything that is clickable is well... UNCLICKABLE (problem even occurs in games). I know what you're thinking! It must be the mouse or a driver problem but I've installed the most up to date driver and it didn't help. Also, hitting CTRL+ALT+DELETE 1-3 times will ALWAYS temporarliy fix it, which is very weird if you ask me. I recently installed a fresh copy of XP and the problem still came back. I also ran an anti-virus program and had 5 viruses within 1 hour of installing the fresh copy of XP, but they have not come back. Anytime I run a spyware check I ALWAYS have a bunch of junk come up. Advanced System care usually comes up with 30-50 spyware problems and sometimes over 100 MB of junk files within an hour. So, I think my computer has some SERIOUS problems! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks!
