Virut infection

Hi all,

I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 with virut.

I've cleaned a lot of it, but the symptoms are:

1. On bootup, it will show my desktop but no status bar or icons. I run Task Manager and and type in a new task and run explorer and then everything shows up.

2. When I go to run Msconfig, I get an illegal operation.

3. Buttons on webpages aren't displaying, but I'm not so worried about that
4. Hijackthis won't display the log but it's here.
