Dear Analysts,
I desperatly need your help. My work-Laptop has been infected by one of my worst nightmares. A Virus that inflicts such damage that my laptop had to shut itself down to prevent further damage. Fortunately I have a spare, but low-spec computer left to ask you guys for help... I freaked out at the moment I saw my Windows Defender reporting a severe virus called: "TrojanDownloader:Win32/Fakeinit" I clicked: "Resolve" and it said that it has been completely removed... Then I restarted my computer to check if everything was alright. One minute after logging into my account my computer gave me a frightning blue screen with an error I can't recall for its length... I did try "System Restore" in safe mode and retried it later on in normal mode but no succes. (Maybe this information is crucial for the restoration process?) I tried to run my computer a couple of times, but the same thing occured. Then I ran it in "Safe Mode with Network" to check things out, that worked. I immediatly ran upstairs to do some research on the virus and then I came to this site where this very same problem had been resolved: http://www.techsupportforum.com/security-center/virus-trojan-spyware-help/resolved-hjt-threads/336015-two-blue-screens.html I had no clue what happened in this topic. I noticed that they were able to copy their data from one to another to show you guys the process...? I recognized the problem and symptomes and I assumed that I have the same thing active virus... I have no idea what to do next. I am pretty confident when it comes to computers, but what I saw in that topic really blew my mind. I have no idea of what to expect, but I will do everything step by step with you to get this problem solved. I will ask if I don't understand something. I don't mind if you refer to the link I gave here, because that helped me understand the situation... My laptop is everything to me, I hope you guys can help me out. T____T |
