Spyware Infection

Good morning guys.

Well, here I'm trying to fight with this infection thats driving me nuts.....

Basically what my computer does is the following:

-Whenever I want to perform a search on google, every single link jumps to a site called windowsclick.com and I mean it, every single link takes me to that site, I use safari instead which gives me no problems at all.

-I noticed that services.exe on the taskmgr keeps on 30-40% all the time

-Sometimes when my computer shows the xp screen that says welcome, it hangs there or also hangs whenever Im doing something.

Before i decided to begin this thread, I read your posting rules and I noticed you ask to run two tools (actually one I think, because I read another post that using DDS should be discontinued till further notice). When I attempt to execute GMER.exe it displays the hourglass on my cursor but then nothing happens. I disabled my protection system (ESET SmartSecurity, which I keep up to date), AVG and Windows Defender. By the way, none of these tools has detected a threat so far.

Honestly, Im going to the point were I want to open my window and throw this computer away

I must say that any help that any of you guys can provide will be more than welcome, I honestly dont know where to start.

Thanks in advance and wish u a good day.

Frank

Hello and welcome to TSF.

There seems to be a confusion here. The tool we are asking you to run is DDS, not DSS

Please try running DDS and if you run into trouble running it, try this tool instead and post its logs in a new thread as this one shall be closed.
  • Download RSIT by random/random and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click RSIT.exe to start the tool and click Continue at the disclaimer.
  • When the scan completes it will open a log named log.txt maximized, and a log named info.txt minimized.
  • Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of log.txt here.
  • Please attach info.txt to your post.
To attach a file to a new post, simply
  1. Click the[Manage Attachments] button under Additional Options > Attach Files on the post composition page, and
  2. copy and paste the following into the "Upload File from your Computer" box:
    C:\rsit\info.txt
  3. Click Upload.
