Umm

Umm I had like 500 Virus thing on my Computer. I don't know If I get all of them off. I used System Restor -> Reformat Hard Drive..
Any way of knowing? Before I had 2 Virus Protection. One said there was nothing on it, the Other said I had close to 500 Virus things on my computer...

Hello -

If you did a destructive recovery that formatted the hard drive, you should be fine. If the infection name was Virut, be sure that you don't restore any backed up .exe, .scr or archived (.zip, .cab) containing .exe or .scr.

Please note, about having more than one AntiVirus installed on a machine:

While this may seem like greater protection, it can cause problems including slowdowns, system hangs or even crashes. This can happen if both AntiVirus applications attempt to access the same file at the same time. This may cause the applications to interfere with each other, or cause the system to lock up. It can also be a drain on system resources, making a machine run slower than it should.


One more note:
