Malware may be slowly infecting whole of computer...?
Hi there
I've had this problem a while now but haven't found anyone to help me get it sorted. I am running an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ with XP SP2 and for a while, ever since my boyfriends brother was using the computer I have been unable to connect to Internet Explorer and MSN. It just loads the page cannot be displayed page. MSN refuses to log in at all, refuses my login. I also now have problems updating programs like AVG, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware... even Flash. It's getting increasingly worrying that it's gonna infect the whole of my computer. I don't think AVG is very good at picking up any infections, I did a run on Spybot but no checks were found, I've also deleted anything on Ad-Aware but the problem doesn't get fixed. I have a HijackThis log if anyone would care to take a look? Thanks!! |

Hello and Welcome.
We no longer use HijackThis as our initial analysis tool. We want all our members to perform the steps outlined in the link I'll give you below, before posting for assistance. There's a sticky at the top of this forum, and a Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please follow our pre-posting process outlined here: NEW INSTRUCTIONS - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help After running through all the steps, you shall have a proper set of logs. Please post them in a new topic, as this one shall be closed. If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply.
