Re: Possible Infection Affecting Internet
Hello again, wheezy. Don't worry. I'm not going to leave you until we are both satisfied.
I need to know exactly what the pop-up message says. Have you uninstalled ComboFix? AVG is likely detecting the files quarantined by ComboFix. Uninstall ComboFix and then do a full system scan with AVG. Post the report back here. ------------------------------------------------------ As far as the other suggested programs. Those are not antivirus programs, they are antispyware programs. They all can be used along with your AVG antivirus. ------------------------------------------------------ |

Re: Possible Infection Affecting Internet
Hi chemist. I can't remember exactly what it read, though I do remember it was an AVG pop-up and stated "possible threat" and "trojan agent". But I haven't gotten an alert since I mentioned it.
Also, I did a full scan using AVG as you requested, and it came up clean with the exception of some warnings (no infections though). I took some screencaps of the results: Screencap 1 Screencap 2 And thanks for the clarification about the anti-spyware programs! Last edited by Wheezy; 12-05-2008 at 10:23 PM. |
