[SOLVED] Virus 2009
Somehow got infected with a virus that pops up a 'you are infected' box. When I try to go to your site, or google virus issues it won't let me.. just gives me an error message as it is blocking access. I have tweak now on my computer which i have run several times and it states that the registry has been cleaned but it really hasn't. I think that the virus has attached itself to the tweaknow software. When I try to download any spy sweeper software it stops me...help!
Thanks, Caroline |

Re: Virus 2009
Hi Katrina.. had to post the message from a computer that actually allowed access to your website. Everytime I tried it wouldn't bring up ANY window... it was so frustrating.
Today, I finally just took it in because can't download anything on that computer. I think its a total loss. Thanks so much.. Caroline

Re: Virus 2009
I'm sorry to here that, here is some info to help you try and keep clean when you get it back.
You may already have some of the following programs, but I include the full list for the benefit of all the other people who will be reading this thread in the future. ( Vista users must ensure that any programs are Vista compatible BEFORE installing ) Online Scanners I would recommend a scan at one or more of the following sites at least once a month. http://www.pandasecurity.com/activescan http://www.kaspersky.com/kos/eng/par...avwebscan.html !!! Make sure that all your programs are updated !!! Secunia Software Inspector does all the work for you, .... see HERE for details AntiSpyware
Prevention
Internet Browsers
Cleaning Temporary Internet Files and Tracking Cookies
Also PLEASE read this article.....So How Did I Get Infected In The First Place The last and most important thing I can tell you is UPDATE. If you don't update your security programs (Antivirus, Antispyware even Windows) then you are at risk. Malware changes on a day to day basis. You should update every week at the very least. If you follow this advice then (with a bit of luck) you will never have to hear from me again :D Happy surfing K'

Re: Virus 2009
Thank you so much for this assist...I will run through some of these things with my PC. I had the tech take a look and he couldn't even get anything to load! He has to clear the hard drive and start from fresh.
Thanks, Caroline
