Re: wserv32.exe and csrssd.exe
Hi,
Have now ran OTCleanIt, but it did not appear to remove any programs. Also, when I tried to do the System Restore, I Unchecked the box beside "Turn off System Restore", Clicked "Apply". However, no prompt appeared to click "Yes". Therefore, I then manually created a new Restore Point (via Help/Support). Cheers for the extra advice. CM |

Re: wserv32.exe and csrssd.exe
Hi there,
MBAM will need to be uninstalled manually, SDFix and it's corresponding folder should have been removed by OTCleanIt though. About the restore point, as long as you flushed your old infected ones and have a new clean one you are good to go ![]() Glad to hear it's going good, any questions for me?

Re: wserv32.exe and csrssd.exe
Yeah, I deleted my old restore points.
I've still got to read the links you posted, but I'll definately get round to this tomorrow. My only outstanding question is what other application would you recommend that I run along with mcAfee?? (seeing thought this was what I originally had installed, but for some reason was not detecting wserv32.exe and csrssd.exe) Apart from this, many, many thanks for your advice, patience and knowledge. I'm definately more focused on protecting my pc after going through this. Thanks again!

Re: wserv32.exe and csrssd.exe
McAfee, along with maybe MBAM as an occasional scanner (for suspicious files etc.) and SpywareBlaster should do you just fine if you keep to the safe side of the net
![]() Consider an alternative browser like Opera or FireFox, that will be a big help as well. I'm glad to hear everything is good. I will report this thread as resolved. Take care still and have a great day! Mike
