Re: Possible Malware - Frequent Pop-Ups - winlogon.exe
Still cant get into email. I will try resetting my password later today and see if that works. Other than that, my system seems to be working well. Have all of the viruses been removed?
Also, when I went to IE Internet Options, under the privacy tab, byt cookies are set to the lowest level 'Accept all cookies'. Is this where it should be set? Thanks. |

Re: Possible Malware - Frequent Pop-Ups - winlogon.exe
Hi,
The default is in medium. As far as malware goes, you're clean. Click start > run > copy and paste: combofix /u That will hide your system files, clear your system restore cache and uninstall combofix. Note: Make sure you update your Antivirus programs and other security products regularly to avoid new threats that could infect your system. Please check out Tony Klein's article "How did I get infected in the first place?" And miekiemoes' "How to Prevent Malware" let me know if resetting your password will fix things.
