Spyware & Spybot problem
Hi !
I am new with spyware problem. Recently I got Internet problem on my machine. My start page on IE was changed to some porno site (it was not big deal : I just changed it manually) and during work with browser ( and specifiaction new URL within Address box ) I was periodically moved to different porno sites. I found corresponding information on the Internet and found that I have spyware on my machine and the best way to remove it is using Spybot programm. After I installed and started Spybot , it displayed around 170 spyware entries on my machine. I tried to remove all of found entries ( I had some strange messages during this process . it was like "Can't run the program: wdengine.dll (webdriver.dll, wt3d.dll) is absent". I just clicked "OK' as response to this messages). As result , I received message that I have 6 entries in the list ,which can not be removed because they are currently used by system. I was suggested to restart machine and try to remove this entries again. I restarted my machine , run Spybot again and Spybot found already 11 entries. After 7 entries were deleted , I received the same message ( Something like "Entries cannot be removed ,because they are currently used"). After this I tried to go to the Internet, but most of Internet sites (except www.yahoo.com ,which I specified as start page) were not accessible. My MSN messanger was also not accessible and after testing I received message that it possibly because of Norton security system. Everything became unstable: sometimes I can reach some URL ,sometimes not. The only stable place is www.yahoo.com and all references on this site. I also found that I don't have Norton antivirus icon on my task bar and some of the shortcuts on my desktop. Besides it, I still have the same problem: I am automatically moved to different porno sites. I tried to restore entries (removed by Spybot) ,but it can restore just last removed entries ,not all of tham. So , I came to situation ,wchich is worse than I had initially. Please, HELP !!! |

Please download HijackThis. Create a folder at C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe there. Run a scan and save the log file. Post the whole log file here. Do not fix anything since most of them listed there are harmless (some are system required). This program will help us determine if there is any spyware/malware on your computer.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should not have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.
You have an outdated version of HijackThis. Click here to get the latest version of HijackThis. Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' (or 'Show all files') is enabled. Also make sure that Display the contents of System Folders' is checked. Windows XP's search feature is a little different. When you click on 'All files and folders' on the left pane, click on the 'More advanced options' at the bottom. Make sure that Search system folders, Search hidden files and folders, and Search subfolders are checked. For the options that you checked/enabled earlier, you may uncheck them after your log is clean. If we ask you to fix a program that you use or want to keep, please post back saying that (we don't know every program that exists, so we may tell you to delete a program that we think is bad to keep). Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. Restart your computer. After we are finished with your log file and verified that it's clean, you may turn it back on and create a new restore point. Download CWShredder and click on Fix (it will automatically fix anything it finds for you). If it asks if you want to delete a certain random file, choose No and post that filename here. If you have a fast internet connection (broadband), run an online virus scan at TrendMicro. Make sure to select the Autoclean option. Otherwise, make sure your antivirus program has the latest definitions and run a full system scan. Reboot into Safe Mode (hit F8 key until menu shows up). Make sure to close any open browsers. [/b]Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->(Settings)->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if they exist: ClearSearch MyWebSearch Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any): R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://search.ruserv.com R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://search.ruserv.com R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://turboinet.com/r.cgi?www.yahooo.com R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.sexytetki.com/index5.html R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://search.ruserv.com R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://search.ruserv.com R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = about:blank R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = O2 - BHO: (no name) - SOFTWARE - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000221} - C:\Program Files\ClearSearch\CSIE.DLL O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00A6FAF1-072E-44cf-8957-5838F569A31D} - C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\SrchAstt\2.bin\MWSSRCAS.DLL O2 - BHO: (no name) - {07B18EA1-A523-4961-B6BB-170DE4475CCA} - C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\bar\2.bin\MWSBAR.DLL O2 - BHO: (no name) - {CF021F40-3E14-23A5-CBA2-717177651316} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\qwe1316.dll O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSConfig] A:\msconfig.exe /auto O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Weather] C:\PROGRA~1\AWS\WEATHE~1\Weather.exe 1 O4 - Global Startup: VAIO Action Setup (Server).lnk = ? Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->(Settings)->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if they exist:
WeatherBug - it's adware. If you didn't install this yourself, uninstall it. If you did install it yourself, you may keep it and ignore any fixes/deletions listed below. Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any): R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://turboinet.com/r.cgi?www.yahoo.com R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = O2 - BHO: Cls - {CF021F40-3E14-23A5-CBA2-717177651316} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\qwe1316.dll (file missing) O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Weather] C:\PROGRA~1\AWS\WEATHE~1\Weather.exe 1 O13 - WWW Prefix: http://turboinet.com/r.cgi? I did install Weather Information by myself.
Now, I don't have any problems with porno sites. The only problem I have now is login to hotmail and msn messanger. When I try to login to hotmail , I can't access next page ( after I specify username & password and click login button ). As result I have "Page cannot be found". When I try to use msn messanger , I have message that for some reason I don't have connection. Whe I try to use troubleshooting , I have message that probably I have this problem ,because of Norton Security. When I try to change something in Norton Security , I have a message that I should be superuser to do it. :(( I found that my hotmail & msn messanger problem is associated with Norton Firewalls (After I temporaraly disabled firewalls everything works. Until I do it even my Mozilla browser didn't work :((( ). Thank you VERY much!!!!! Andreyk |
