right-click menus always popping up

hello,

This is the first time I post a thread here (sorry for asking for help before doing the introducing myself bit).
Recently my computer started getting crazy. It's like if I kept right-clicking on my mouse all the time except I'm not. In particular, it makes Word impossible to use because I keep being stopped as I type.
This is the only problem I'm encountering. I used to have AVG and now I have McAfee preofessional 8 (updated) and I have a clean log. I also ran spybot and Ad aware and I am also clean. Additionnaly, I have Spywareblaster.
I run and update all those softwares very regularly so I usually don't have problems, but this one I can't solve myself. Also, I have SP2 and my Windows is updated.

Here is my hijackthis log (right after booting):

Hello CeliaK and welcome to TSF,

Have you tried using a different mouse? Let's see if this tool reveals any malware at all:

Download Combofix and save it to your desktop.

**Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**

-------------------------------------

Close any open browsers.

-------------------------------------

Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall

Post the ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Hi Ried,

Thanks for answering! Here is my combofix log, but strangely my problem has almost disappeared on its own in the last few days. I still get the "undo... properties" menu once in a while out of nowhere, but not every second like this week-end. Anyway, here is my log.

P.S. After I ran combofix, internet explorer became my default browser when it's always been firefox... have an idea why?

Thanks a lot!
Célia

OS: WinXP and Vista

Hi Célia,

I'm sorry, I should have forewarned you that combofix would automatically reset your homepage and browser to Windows default. It does this as a precaution since so many infections hijack that area.

I'm not seeing any malware in that log--and you haven't found any either with all the scans you've completed so this appears to be an issue with your mouse. If the mouse starts acting up again, my suggestion would be to begin a thread in the Other Hardware Support section.

ok, thanks a lot. Actually, the problem seems to have gone. The things is I don't use a mouse but a touchpad (I have a labtop). If I get this problem again I'll try to plug a mouse...

Thanks!
