Hello Puppet-Master, thank you for your patience. I don't think this is a malware issue, but let's scan your machine to be sure. You may wish to Subscribe to this thread so that you are notified when you receive a reply. To do this click Thread Tools (above the first post), then click Subscribe to this Thread. Make sure it is set to Instant Notification, then click Subscribe.
Please print out or copy this page to Notepad in order to assist you when carrying out the following instructions. If there is anything you don't understand, please ask BEFORE proceeding with the fixes. Please do these steps in order and do not skip any. Download CleanUp! Download and install CleanUp! but do not run it yet. WARNING: CleanUp! deletes EVERYTHING out of temporary folders and does not make backups. If you have any documents or programs that are saved in any temporary folders, please make a backup of these before running CleanUp! WARNING: Do not run cleanup under Windows XP x64 Edition. If you're not sure if you have the 64-bit version of Windows then you probably do not; however, you can check by using IE to download the whichcpu tool and then running it. Download AVG Anti-Spyware Ewido has been rebranded as AVG Anti-Spyware. Please uninstall Ewido, then download, install, and update AVG Anti-Spyware.
Reboot Reboot your system to Safe Mode by repeatedly tapping the F8 key until the menu appears and choosing Safe Mode from the list. On some systems, this may be the F5 key so try that if F8 doesn't work. Login on with your usual account. Make sure to close any open windows. Run CleanUp! Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu). Set the program up as follows:
Run AVG Anti-Spyware
Reboot Reboot your system to Normal Mode. Online Scan Perform an online scan using Internet Explorer with Kaspersky WebScanner. Click on Launch Kaspersky Anti-Virus Web Scanner. You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
With Your Next Post... Please paste the following with your next reply (in this order please):

Hello,
I have done the things that you said I should do in the previous post. But after I ran 'AVG Anti-Malware' I quarantined 3 malicious programs. One of them was needed to enable the Privacy Service on my McAfee '06 security center, But the malicious program that was needed to enable privacy service was part of WinAntiVirus. I'm not sure what to do about this. I re-installed McAfee security center '06 but it still needed the program to activate privacy service. So I took it off the Quarantine list, as it was blocking use of the internet aswell Could you possibly help me with this before we move on to fixing the main problem? It kind of worries me knowing that my security center could be corrupt...

WinAntiVirus is a rogue/suspect anti-spyware product and is known to pop up ads to your Desktop. I can't find any links between it and McAfee, though. Might you have a link? My suggestion is to uninstall it using the Add/Remove programs control panel.
Nothing else turned up, so let's try another online scan. P2P Software I see you have P2P software (i.e. Ares) installed on your machine. We are not here to pass judgment on file-sharing as a concept. However, we will warn you that engaging in this activity and having this kind of software installed on your machine will always make you more susceptible to re-infections. It may be contributing to your current situation. Online Scan Perform an online scan with Internet Explorer with Panda ActiveScan.
Post the results from Panda along with a new HijackThis log after it finishes.

So about the McAfee - WinAntiVirus thing
How should I go around solving this mess? Should I un-install McAfee, then go into safe mode and remove WinAntiVirus via AVG Anti-Spyware ? Or should I just continue to quaratine the WinAntiVirus files Also, in the Kaspersky scan, It mentioned Trojan.Downloaders and Virtumonde, These are some results that I take into example of this: C:\Documents and Settings\Emre Emir\.housecall\Quarantine\A0023486.exe.bac_a01860/data.rar/dotrm.dll Infected: not-a-virus:AdWare.Win32.Virtumonde.br skipped C:\Documents and Settings\Emre Emir\.housecall\Quarantine\A0023486.exe.bac_a01860/data.rar/dotdr.exe Infected: Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Adload.ap skipped C:\Documents and Settings\Emre Emir\.housecall\Quarantine\A0023486.exe.bac_a01860/data.rar Infected: Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Adload.ap skipped Does this mean that Kaspersky has found Trojans and Virtumonde on my computer?

I find it hard to believe it came with McAfee. Did you buy it retail?
Those items you listed are in a quarantine and are harmless. However, you don't appear to have TrendMicro installed, so you can safely delete C:\Documents and Settings\Emre Emir\.housecall\Quarantine, which will take care of them. Do this also: Download SmitfraudFix Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri).
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other option until you are directed to do so! Run that Panda scan for me if you haven't already. Post the contents of C:\rapport.txt, the results from Panda, and a new HijackThis log after you've finished. We'll get to the bottom of WinAntiVirus and get it off your system.

Ok, I think WinFixer was merely trying to Hi-jack McAfee. So I quarantined all of the WinFixer files and re-installed McAfee.
But now I am experiencing a new problem, my McAfee VirusScan isnt 100% up to date and needs to be updated; but whenever I try to download updates manually, the site I am re-directed to (http://uk.mcafee.com/apps/mpsh8/en-g...stempopup=true) the web-page is just blank white with nothing on it. What do you think could be happening? Also, I will post the Panda Report, the SmitFraud .txt file, and a new HJT log in the next 3 posts.

That blank page is supposed to redirect you to http://uk.mcafee.com/apps/mpsh8/en-g...stempopup=true
Let me know if that works for you. The page is encoded in VBScript instead of Javascript. If you're using Firefox, that's probably why it's not working.

Well done, your logs are clean! Any more issues? If not, you should be good to go but we still have a few items we'd like to address.
Reset hidden/system files and folders
Reset System Restore
Re-enable Protection Turn back on any malware prevention tools we might have had you switch off. Microsoft Updates It is very important that you get all of the critical updates for your Operating System and Internet Explorer. Keeping your OS and browser up to date will help make you less susceptible to attacks by malware. Using Internet Explorer, please go to Microsoft's Windows Update and download all of the critical updates to help prevent possible re-infection. Please ensure that you have already patched your system against these recent critical exploits: Enable Windows Auto Update:
Update Java You need to update your Java as it is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.
Malware Prevention This is a good time to set up protection against further attacks. You might want to read Tony Klein's "How Did I Get Infected In The First Place?". At the minimum, you need an antivirus that is continually updated, a good firewall, a spyware blocker such as Spyware Blaster, and a real time spyware program such as Spyware Guard to prevent spyware intrusions. I also recommend IE-Spyad, which places over 4,000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list, thus helping prevent attempts to re-infect your system. All of these have no-strings-attached free versions available. However, be very wary with any security software that is advertised in popups or in other ways. They are not only usually of no use but often have malware in them. Two more articles you may want to read at your leisure are "KRC Anti-Spyware Tutorial" and "Making Internet Explorer Safer". The following is a list of free software we recommend: Antivirus AV software should be updated at least once a week for optimum protection. Here are some free AV programs available for personal use. NOTE: Do not install more than one AV program because they will conflict with each other. Only pick one.
Firewalls A good firewall is the first-line of defense for your computer and will monitor incoming and outgoing traffic. NOTE: Microsoft's Firewall does not monitor outgoing traffic. If you are unfamiliar with how a firewall works, you can read "Understanding and Using Firewalls". Here are some free firewalls available for personal use:
These programs actively watch your computer for possible malware-related changes and help prevent them. You can run more than one of these at a time.Passive Malware Prevention Tools These programs configure your computer to prevent known malware-related changes. You can have more than one of these at a time and they take up minimal resources.
Using an alternative browser can help prevent malware from being installed without your knowledge, but may not work on all websites.Alternative Miscellaneous Here are some alternatives that are worth looking into if you use their features:
Please respond to this thread one more time so we can mark this thread as resolved.

Hey, Thanks for all the help
Before this thread Is closed, I have a few more questions. I tried to download 'MVPS HOSTS' as it was reccomended in the link to 'how did I get infected in the first place' But I wasn't prompted with a 'Run' option, all I had was a CMD.Exe box that said 'Press any button to continue...' Is there any way I could possible get MVPS Hosts, and not get a CMD Box? Also, Do you know any good free programs to Anonymize me while I'm browsing to Hi-jackers?

I'm not sure I understood either question, but I'll try to answer. If you downloaded the MVPS HOSTS archive, you should have a hosts.zip file. If you extract that to it's own directory, there should be a 'mvps.bat' file. If you double-click that, all you see is 'Press any button to continue...' ? Did you extract the entire archive? You need at least the 'mvps.bat' file and the 'HOSTS' file in the same directory as each other.
Finally, there really is no way to anonymize yourself any more than just keeping cookies from being saved on your computer. If you use Firefox, you can set it to ask you when cookies are being set and then allow or deny, which is what I do. You might be able to do the same for Internet Explorer, but I don't use it enough to know if that is the case.

PrcViewer ?
Hey, thanks for all the help
I have one other problem now A PUP called 'PrcViewer' was found on my McAfee scan today Here is what was found in my McAfee scan C:\WINDOWS\system32\Process.exe C:\Documents and Settings\(My windows xp username)\Desktop\SmitfraudFix.zip C:\Documents and Settings\(My windows xp username)\Desktop\SmitfraudFix\Process.exe Could I possibly get any help on removing this program? I read on a thread on the BleepingComputers.com forums that it was a malicious program and could be removed via Windows Registry.

You can delete SmitfraudFix (all three files). It's a false positive in this case. Process.exe is one of those utilities that can be used for good or bad -- in this case it was used for good. But you don't need to keep it lying around your system anymore.
