Infected with download-ruins trojan
Hi,
I ran Symantec 8.0, spybot, spy sweeper, trendmicro's online scan but none of them can remove the trojan. Here's a copy of the HJT log, any input is greatly appreciated. Before begining the fix, read this post completely. If there's anything that you do not understand, kindly ask your questions before proceeding. Ensure that there aren't any opened browsers when you are carrying out the procedures below. Save the following instructions in Notepad as this webpage would not be available when you're carrying out the fix.
It is IMPORTANT that you don't miss a step & perform everything in the correct order/sequence. * * * * * * Please disable Webroot SpySweeper, as it hinders the removal of some entries. You can re-enable it after you're clean. To disable Webroot SpySweeper:
* * * * * * FIXING ENTRIES WITH HIJACKTHIS * * * * * * * * * * Do a HijackThis scan & place a check next to these items and select "Fix checked": O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dmopi.exe] C:\WINNT\system32\dmopi.exe * * * * * * Then download & Install - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/file...Fixwareout.exe When you reach the final page of the installation process, make sure "Run fixit" is checked.
