conhook.aa/ab
Norton is picking up a trojan called Downloader, but it cannot quarantine, access, or delete the file. I followed the intructions in the sticky thread. Ewido picked up ConHook.aa and .ab files, and has quarantined them, but the problem is not fixed as Norton and Ewido pick up the viruses every 5-10 minutes.

Please print the below instructions or copy them to Notepad.

Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode (if you don't know how, go to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/foru...howtutorial=61 ). Make sure to close any internet browsers that may still be open.

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following if they still exist and hit 'Fix Checked' after you checked the last one:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {0dfa4be4-740b-489e-9573-502a94f0643c} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\kbdLT4.dll (file missing)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: kbdLT4 - kbdLT4.dll (file missing)

Restart. Make sure you turn off any antivirus programs you have running while performing the online scan below. Using Internet Explorer, run a virus scan at http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner Click on 'Launch Kaspersky Anti-Virus Web Scanner' and install the ActiveX component from Kaspersky. Click Yes and it will begin downloading the latest definition files. Once that's done, click on 'Scan Settings' and make sure the following are selected:

Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
- Extended

Scan Options:
- Scan Archives
- Scan Mail Bases

Click OK. Now under select a target to scan, select 'My Computer'. It will start and scan your system. The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run. Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected. Now click on the 'Save as Text' button. Save the file to your desktop. Copy and paste that information in your next post along with a new HijackThis log.

Fix this in HijackThis:

Delete everything inside your Norton quarantined section...

Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. Restart your computer and uncheck the same box to enable System Restore.

Your log is clean.

To help prevent future spyware infections, read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided.

Are there any problems now? If not, you should be set to go.
