Put a virus/spy-ware on boss' wife's computer
While fixing something else on her PC, I was waiting for an install and was browsing the net when I got at least 4 spy-wares. Yes I know I'm an idiot, but I've got it down to 1 I think and it still keeps popping up (not a "pop-up" but some small sliding pop-up does open as weel) when I try to go in the internet (IE) telling me that I have a virus and then IE closes itself. Here's the HJT log Thanks for any help and I hope I can get this resolved by Monday when she needs it back

Okay Seth, here's what you have to do to keep the job :)
* edit your previous post to remove all references to 'C.Sharpe'. Change it to "<username>". We don't want it to appear in Google Then call upon the Windows command prompt by doing so .... Go to Start & select 'Run' - type in cmd At the command prompt, type each line in & press 'Enter' Code:
rd /s/q "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\sks~1" rd /s/q "C:\Program Files\cowabanga" rd /s/q "C:\Program Files\viewpoint" rd /s/q "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\DoctorWeb" exit Have HJT fix these: O2 - BHO: (no name) - {873eb32d-ae1a-4183-89bd-45a77f761be4} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ixt0.dll (file missing) O20 - Winlogon Notify: winjks32 - winjks32.dll (file missing) With that, our work is done. Kindly follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:
Update all these programs regularly. Make sure you update all the programs I have listed regularly. Without regular updates you WILL NOT be protected when new malicious programs are released. Follow this list and your potential for being infected again will reduce dramatically. Here are some additional utilities that will further enhance your safety.
To find out more information about how you got infected in the first place and some great guidelines to follow to prevent future infections you can read this article by Tony Klein After doing all these, your system will be optimised against future threats. It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder in a couple weeks if everything is working okay. Have a safe & happy computing day. ![]() Please respond to this thread one more time so we can mark this thread as resolved.

All worked great! Thanks a lot, I was working for the local town hall when I did this, so "my boss" meant mayor btw. I don't see my "edit" button near my posts even though my posting rules say that I may edit my posts. Other than that this is resolved, and many many thanks again.
