Low Priority - just want peace of mind

Now that you guys have my kids' computer straightened out, I am motivated never to have to go through that again, so I've been working on getting my own computer clean. It's Windows 98, has had virus protection and firewall from Day 1, and I run Adaware, Spybot, and Housecall regularly, but in my early days, I didn't know that I needed to be careful what sites I downloaded from. I thought if there were no porn banners or pop-ups that the site was OK. After I ran the online BitDefender scan, there was a huge difference in how fast my computer ran, so I have a nagging feeling that there might be other stuff on the computer as well. I've fixed as many of the errors from the online Panda scan as I could, and I think I'm down to 3 bad registry entries - but I've never touched the registry before. I was kind of hoping that I could click on some Hijack This entries and they'd go away.
Here's what I've got (I deleted the lines of the report as I fixed or uninstalled problems so that's why it looks incomplete).

Adware:adware/coupons Not disinfected Windows Registry
Adware:adware/limeshop Not disinfected Windows Registry
Adware:adware/blazefind Not disinfected Windows Registry

I would appreciate it if somebody could take a look at my log and let me know how it looks. Also, I was unable to uninstall Netscape 4.78 from my computer, although I was able to uninstall 7.1. Can I just check the Hijack This entry and have it stop showing up on my add/remove programs list? Thank you!

For those 3 Panda entries, you may safely ignore them. They are just remains of the infections...not harmful anymore.

Do you get an error when uninstalling Netscape 4? Try fixing it in HijackThis and then uninstalling it. If that won't work, fix it and then just delete the folder for Netscape. If you still have the Netscape installer, install it back instead and then uninstall it...that should work.

Please print the below instructions or copy them to Notepad.

Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode (if you don't know how, go to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/foru...howtutorial=61 ). Make sure to close any internet browsers that may still be open.

Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->Settings->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if found:

LimeShop

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following if they still exist and hit 'Fix Checked' after you checked the last one:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://us.rd.yahoo.com/customize/yco...search/ie.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://us.rd.yahoo.com/customize/yco.../www.yahoo.com
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings,ProxyOverride = ;<local>
N1 - Netscape 4: user_pref("browser.startup.homepage", "file:///d:\\html\\bswstart.htm"); (d:\Netscape\Users\barbara\prefs.js)
O8 - Extra context menu item: LimeShop Preferences - file://C:\Program Files\LimeShop\System\Temp\limeshop_script0.htm
O16 - DPF: {1954A4B1-9627-4CF2-A041-58AA2045CB35} (Brix6ie Control) - http://a19.g.akamai.net/7/19/7125/31...31/brix6ie.cab
O16 - DPF: {412F2472-59BC-4CCB-A3D4-C16A7D57CDCF} (CouponsIncIECtl Class) - http://a19.g.akamai.net/7/19/7125/12...v7/brix7ie.cab

Locate the following Files/Folders and delete them if they exist (if no location given, just do a search for them):

C:\Program Files\LimeShop\

Restart.

Your log is clean.

To help prevent future spyware infections, read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided.

Are there any problems now? If not, you should be set to go.

Low Priority - just want peace of mind

Thanks so much for looking at my log. My Limeshop and Netscape 4 folders were empty, so I just deleted them. I'm all set now. Thanks again!
