Please print out or copy these instructions/tutorial to Notepad as the internet will not be (while in Safe Mode) available to you at certain points of the removal process. Make sure to work through all the Steps in the exact order in which they are listed below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before moving on with the fixes.
--------------- DOWNLOADS Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop. Please download the trial version of Ewido anti-malware from here: http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update ewido. Ewido manual updates. Make sure to close Ewido before installing the update. Download and install CleanUp! but do not run it yet. *WARNING* Cleanup deletes EVERYTHING out of temp/temporary folders and does not make backups. -------------- DISABLE ANTISPYWARE PROTECTION Please disable Spywareguard, as it may hinder the removal of some entries. You can re-enable it after you're clean.
Please disable your Windows Defender Real-time Protection, as it may hinder the removal of some entries.
------------------ SAFE MODE Reboot your computer in Safe Mode.
ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS Click > Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs and uninstall the following programs (if they exist): p2pnetworks License_Manager DownloadManager FIXES WITH HIJACK THIS Open HijackThis and click on 'Do a System Scan Only'. Check the following entries (make sure you do not miss any) R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [buswyzeh] C:\WINDOWS\zzietkul.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MediaPipe P2P Loader] "C:\Program Files\p2pnetworks\mpp2pl.exe" /H O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [License Manager] "C:\Program Files\License_Manager\license_manager.exe " /silent O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [DownloadManager] "C:\Program Files\DownloadManager\MPTray.exe" O16 - DPF: {30CE93AE-4987-483C-9ABE-F2BD5301AB70} - http://64.158.165.49/output/100039/u...s/dbaccess.exe O16 - DPF: {FE1A240F-B247-4E06-A600-30E28F5AF3A0} - file://C:\install.cab O16 - DPF: {FF3F0F03-0F01-131A-A3F9-08F02B23E0CC} - http://66.117.37.13/gba851.exe O16 - DPF: {FFFF0003-0001-101A-A3C9-08002B23E0CC} - http://direct.data-line.us/gbn1176.exe Please remember to close all other windows, including browsers then click Fix checked. The message from Spyware Guard is normal when Internet Explorer settings are reset.
Change the homepage to anything you want and that message should go away. Your log is clean and I'm happy to let you go if you are happy with the running of your system.
------------------------- To turn off System Restore click Start > Right Click My Computer > Properties. Click the System Restore tab and Check "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives" Click Apply. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click Yes to do this then Click OK. Turn on System Restore by Clicking Start. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. Click the System Restore tab. Uncheck "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives." Click Apply, and then OK. This will create a new Restore Point. -------------------------- This is a good time to set up protection against further attacks. Read TonyKlein's How Did I Get Infected In The First Place?. You need an antivirus that is continually updated, a good firewall, a spyware blocker such as Spyware Blaster, and a real time spyware program such as Spyware Guard, to prevent spyware intrusions. IE-Spyad is another excellent program that places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list, which will help prevent attempts to infect your system. All of the above have good free versions available. However, be very wary with any security software that is advertised in popups or in other ways. They are not only usually of no use, but often have malware in them. More information and downloads are available at the following links: Spyware Blaster Spyware Guard IE-Spyad --------------------------- Please let me know if you are happy for me to treat your topic as resolved.

Hello,
That's fantastic. Thank you very much for all your time and yes please treat this as closed now. From what I'm told he says the system is running perfect and is eternally grateful!! I have to say I work in I.T. as support in a small company (23 people) and have to deal with minor spyware/malware events but nothing like this chaps pc that you have just cleared up. So it was an extremely valuable lesson, so thanks as well, really appreciated. Best Regards.. |
