It seems that every time I open Internet Explorer my Macafee virus protection alerts me that a downloader virus has been found and deleted and i am instructed to scan system. sometimes i do and nothing shows up. yet the next time i open up explorer i get the same message. I ran a house call scan and three virus showed up. Two were deleted the third C:\windows\system32\nxbbzlfi.dll could not be cleaned or deleted because it was still running (?) It is identified as a Trojan Agent.AAD I believe my virus protection is doing a good job but why do continue to be a conduit for virus"s whenever i open explorer and why cant I get rid of this one virus?
PS I do run Ad-aware frequently Also there is a file sharing program on this system which I believe may have something to do with it. |

Killing that one file is not the right thing for us to do. Please follow the instructions below and post up an HJT log. This way, we can make sure that we have really squashed the bad boy.
Please download HijackThis - this program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Create a folder at C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe there. Double click on the program to run it. 1. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose 'Do a system scan and save a logfile'. 2. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit Scan and then click on Save log. 3. Get HijackThis Analyzer and save it to the same folder as the hijackthis.log file. Run HijackThis Analyzer and type in y if you agree. The result.txt file will open up in Notepad. Copy the whole result.txt log and post it in the forum. We do not need the original hijackthis.log (unless we ask for it). Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless. I am moving your thread to Help, where the Analysts will find it more quckly. |
