Vroomsearch

Somehow Vroomsearch became my home page and no matter what I do I can't get rid of it. I've made other sites homepages and it just overides them. Now, an even worse problem. Every time I go on the net, porno pictures come up before VROOM and I click them off and there's VROOM again. There's no one to write to, I tried uninstalling according to their own directions. It's disgusting. I have a teen who uses this computer and she can't believe these porn sites that come on. I've run my Adware and have security software installed.
Can anyone help me?

Hi there and welcome to TSF

Please download HijackThis - this program will help us determine if there is any spyware/malware on your computer. Create a folder at C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe there. Run a scan and save the log file. Get HijackThis Analyzer and save it to the same folder as the hijackthis.log file. Run HijackThis Analyzer and type in y if you agree. Open up the result.txt file created. Copy the whole result.txt log and post it back here. Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless. Make sure to include the System information at the top of the log as well.

Vroomsearch hijacking

There is only one way to remove this problem.
NONE (I repeat, none!) of the stuff out there including, adaware, spybot, shredder, stinger, MS antispy is worthless for this virus. Norton web site search does not even return a single hit!
GO TO REGEDIT
GO TO EDIT
SEARCH FOR VROOM
DELETE EVERY REFERENCE TO VROOM
FIND AND DELETE SIQ.DLL
FIND AND DELETE STRIPPERS

GO TO CONTROL PANEL AND DELETE HISTORY, TEMP FILES AND COOKIES
CHANGE WEB PAGE TO DEFAULT
REBOOT

This should take care of it.

I am amazed nothing out there can fix this.
