Google Redirected and Runtime Error
I bought this computer used last week. It has XP, I installed AVG Free and Spyware Blaster. I keep gettting redirected in Google and I keep getting the popup which I describe here.
Microsoft C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error Program: C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. I downloaded DDS and tried running it with antivisus running because I don't have time to disable before going to work. Also, I don't know how to disable scripts. I will try more after work this afternoon. Thanks. I need to know how to disable scripts. I have tried running DDC but it always times out. I am sorry to be adding more before a reply but the computer seems to be getting worse. When I try to run DDS or CleanUp or even an AVG scan it times out. Also, when I click the Start button at the bottom of the screen the box that pops up with of the options will not go away. I have tried to do a system restore but I get a message that says to contact the system administrator. And finally, when I click on this website I get another website that pops up named "bestsoftwareshop.us" Last edited by amateur; 11-06-2009 at 06:18 PM. Reason: to retain 0-reply status |

Re: Google Redirected and Runtime Error
Hello
![]() Lets see if we have better luck with a different scanner.
--------------------------- Download GMER Rootkit Scanner from here to your desktop.
**Caution** Rootkit scans often produce false positives. Do NOT take any action on any "<--- ROOKIT" entries ------------------------------- Please provide the following logs with your next post: C:\rsit\log.txt C:\rsit\info.txt Gmer.txt
