Trojan virus in Recycler

Dear all,

My Norton software has identified a Trojan Horse virus but can't remove it. The virus was identifed at this location:
[patch.exe] inside of [c:\recycler\s-1-5-21-12657676001-2228949247-4183354139-1005\dc363\arcgis tools\xaraxtremepro-lastdownloads.rar]

And going to my Recycler folder, I do have two files of similar names (the other file is called: S-1-5-21-1265767601-2228949247-4183354139-500)

Please can you help me remove it? I do not have the re-boot discs. My data is backed up, but on an external harddrive which is probably infected as well? I include the dd information asked for, but when I ran the Gmer scan, my computer crashed twice (went to the blue screen, saying "Beginning Physical Dump of Memory... etc.).

Please help.

I need to see a rootkit scan before I can help you.

Download RootRepeal.zip to your Desktop and click 'Extract all files' to extract the compressed file to it's own folder.
  • Double-click on RootRepeal.exe to run it.
  • Click on the 'Report' tab, and then click on 'Scan'.
  • A window opens asking what to include in the scan.
  • Check the following boxes then click 'OK':
Drivers
Files
Processes
SSDT
Stealth Objects
Hidden Services
  • You will then be asked which drive to scan.
  • Check C: (or the drive your operating system is installed on, if not C:)
  • Click 'OK' once again.
  • The tool will begin scanning and may take a while to complete, so please be patient.
  • When the scan finishes, click on 'Save Report'.
  • Save the log to your desktop, using a distinctive name, such as RootRepeal.txt.
  • Post the log in your next reply.
