Serious problems antivirus pro program and rundll32 error

Hello, Ive used the search but nothing seemed to help

I opened my start bar and found an unlabeled uninstall on my programs list. Stupidly, not knowing what is was, I uninstalled it. Next think I know, all my programs are .lnk and I cant open any .exe

I do not have my XP OS CD

I did a file search on my computer and I have the rundll32.exe file in the following places:

C:\i386 (This is in blue text, dont know what that means)
C:\WINDOWS\LastGood\System32 (I dont know where that LastGood folder is, doesnt seem to show up outside of search)
C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386

Any suggestion on how to resolve it will be greatly appreciated

Re: Serious problems antivirus pro program and rundll32 error

Hello whateveris,

See if this tool will run for you. Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here

Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs
    1. DDS.txt
    2. Attach.txt
  • Save both reports to your desktop.

Post the contents of the log.txt and attach the Attach.txt in your next reply.

Re: Serious problems antivirus pro program and rundll32 error

Hello, thanks for the reply,I downloaded the file but I got the same message

Windows cannot open this file:

dds.scr

However, I pressed f8 during boot up, and restored my computer to its last working settings, so the antivirus pro program seemed to have disappeared, but I still have the rundll32.exe error.
