Possible Virus?

I posted this in another section of the forum, and was told to post here instead,

Last week, I started having a problem where my video driver on my laptop (chip is 9600m) would stop working, I reinstalled the driver, just to have the same problem happen again. So, I did a complete uninstall, and then proceeded to reinstall the driver.... Guess what? it didnt fix the problem.... I then decided I would wait until my copy of Windows 7 arrived, as I didnt want to mess with the problem at the time, and figured that installing 7 would fix the problem. I received 7, and did the whole install thing on friday, got everything up and running fine, just to have the problem pop up again yesterday, I tried to reinstall the driver again, and thought it had fixed it, turns out, it hasnt. In addition to that, yesterday chkdsk started coming up when windows started with the whole "windows needs to check the disk for errors" thing, only to freeze on the "press any key to skip" screen. I ran chkdsk in windows, restarted, and it ran fine, as far as I know, with no errors (this after me just hitting the power button probably 10 times to restart the computer, and skip the screen)

After installing the driver yesterday I didnt have any more problems with Windows until this morning, when Aero, again, got disabled (windows runs in Basic mode)

From what I can tell, the driver works fine after i restart the computer right after installing it, but whenever i try to restart a second time, it again messes up. Basically, it works fine every other time i run my computer, I'm beginning to think reinstalling the driver has no affect on Aero

I'm not entirely sure that my computer was completly formatted, so it is possible that something got through, I say this because one of my programs picked up the files used previously.

In addition to that, i noticed two unknown processes running, "GFNEXsrv.exe" and "rcpnetp.exe". the second one, I discovered is a process from Lojak, which I have never had on my computer, and have no clue why it is there. the second, I still dont know what exactly it is.

I do consider myself pretty proficiant when it comes to computers, however, this has stumped me. At This point, im thinking i need to reinstall windows, but I really would like to avoid doing that. (it would be the second time in a week)

Hopefully this is clear enough, I ran what the thread on viruses said to run, and nothing showed anything, the dds.scr came up, and said it would take about 3 minutes, and still has not done anything... (about 20 minutes later) im pretty sure the software is not compatible with Windows 7.

Before you ask, yes it is a legit copy, i received it from work, through the microsoft program

Thanks

Nascar

EDIT, I forgot to mention, Avira has been coming up saying that there is a trojan on my computer, but will not remove it, I have been running malwarebytes with no success.
