AVG wont allow me to scan
Hello, my name is Tyler. I seem to have a problem with not being able to scan my computer for viruses and such.
I've been lead to here. Which brings me to my problem. I've read through forum post after forum post. I've read the "How To:" on removing malware. I've tried it all apart from going into a computer shop which I refuse to do, lol. Anyway. Recently i've been having a problem downloading items and them either turning into "0KB" Files that give me the error: ![]() Or they just disappear once they're downloaded. After reading as much as I have, i've come to the conclusion that I have some sort of virus, malware program, or something or the sort running on the computer. But the problem is, I can't seem to run my AVG to scan and see if there is one. I've read that certain malware programs will prevent you from using protection software such as AVG and i'm wondering if anyone can help me get rid of the nightmare. I'm open to every and any suggestion that seems conclusive to helping my problem. Thank you in advance to anyone who decideds to help me out. There was an article that I read on about fixing this problem: http://www.techsupportforum.com/security-center/general-computer-security/411312-avg-wont-scan.html Last edited by TylerMayotte; 10-14-2009 at 09:32 PM. |
