DNS name sets to 85.255.112.60 automatically
Hi All,
Thank you for spending your time here. I've an issue with DNS settings. In Control Panel -> Network Connections -> LAN -> Properties -> TCP/IP -> Properties, i've set the "Obtain IP Address automatically" and "Obtain DNS name automatically" options but if i close the properties window and again right click on LAN - >Properties -> TCP/IP -> Properies, the value for DNS name is getting set to some default value '85.255.112.60' Tried to reset the properties but didn't work, the same address is getting set for DNS name every time. i've also tried to change it in cmd promp using ipconfig /renew, flushing the dns etc but same problem exists. Finally i've got to see in some forum regading the HijackThis but dont know how to proceed with this log file. Please help me on this issue. Please look into the log file of HijackThis.log file Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.0 (BETA) Scan saved at 5:35:13 PM, on 11/18/2008 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINNT\system32\csrss.exe C:\WINNT\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINNT\system32\services.exe C:\WINNT\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINNT\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINNT\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINNT\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINNT\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINNT\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSetMgr.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.exe C:\WINNT\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\PROGRA~1\insight\tools\aiclient.exe C:\Program Files\BigFix Enterprise\BES Client\BESClient.exe C:\Program Files\ISS\Proventia Desktop\blackd.exe C:\Program Files\Symantec AntiVirus\DefWatch.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7Debug\mdm.exe C:\Program Files\ISS\Proventia Desktop\RapApp.exe C:\PROGRAM FILES\Utimaco\SafeGuard Easy\SgeClient.exe C:\PROGRAM FILES\Utimaco\SafeGuard Easy\SgeCtl.exe C:\WINNT\system32\SgLogPlayer.exe C:\Program Files\Symantec AntiVirus\Rtvscan.exe C:\Program Files\ISS\Proventia Desktop\vpatch.exe C:\PROGRAM FILES\Utimaco\SafeGuard Easy\WksCfgSrv.exe C:\WINNT\system32\CCM\CLICOMP\RemCtrl\Wuser32.exe C:\Program Files\ISS\Proventia Desktop\RapUISvc.exe C:\WINNT\System32\alg.exe C:\WINNT\System32\wbem\wmiprvse.exe C:\WINNT\System32\wbem\wmiprvse.exe C:\WINNT\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINNT\Explorer.EXE C:\WINNT\System32\hkcmd.exe C:\Program Files\BigFix Enterprise\BES Client\BESClientUI.exe C:\PROGRAM FILES\Utimaco\SafeGuard Easy\Ecview.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe C:\Documents and Settings\pramanathan\Desktop\ipmsg.exe C:\PROGRA~1\SYMANT~1\VPTray.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\WINNT\system32\cmd.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\AppleMobileDeviceService.exe C:\WINNT\system32\CCM\CcmExec.exe C:\WINNT\system32\msiexec.exe C:\hijackthis\HiJackThis_v2.exe C:\WINNT\System32\wbem\wmiprvse.exe R0 -
