It was some Google ad that said it would remove malware, but it did nothing except get stuck on my computer. It will not uninstall. I've deleted all the files that it would let me.

What do I need to do? Also gmer will not work. I get a message as soon as I start it saying, " C:\windows\system32\config\system: The system cannot find the file specified."

IE will not work on my computer either. I get a message saying a problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Also, I have mobile broadband. It was fast the first few weeks I had it. Now it's slow and I can't stream a video without it pausing to buffer every few seconds. I haven't tried to take it somewhere where I can test another connection yet.

I have Limewire, so get rid of it, right? What about the downloaded files? Can I save them to an external something so I can watch the movies?

I have no install disk or boot CD.

I still need to backup my system too. I'll look for a Win7 guide in these forums.

What is the ARK.txt from. I don't have that.
