I hope someone can help. My PC intermittently runs slow and is more and more often. Also, it now frequently completely "freezes" where CPU goes to 100% but no process is running more than a few % and I have to power off to resolve.
I have followed the "new instructions" and attach the DDS.txt and attach.txt files, however I have had problems with the GMER rootkit scanner. The first time I run it, the problem encountered message appears within a minute and I have to start again. The 2nd time it lasts a lot longer, but not to completion. Tonight, it ran for 1 hour 15 mins before failing with "Windows - Delayed Write Failed" message stating it was unable to save all the data for file \Device\HarddiskVolume2\$Mft. It doesn't let me click OK, in fact no response from mouse or keyboard and have to power off to recover. I also noticed a message (bottom right) : GMER.exe - Corrupt File stating the file or directory C:\$Mft is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility. The other night the same happenned after about 2 hours but with a different file. Thanks.DDS.txt Attach.txt |
