Personalguard2009 and Trojan Fake Alert
I'm incredibly careful but somehow managed to invite these 2 unwanted issues into my computer last week.
McAfee was a joke, picked up nothing. I downloaded Spyware Doctor and it is finding and supposedly quarantining these guys. I've deleted PersonalGuard from registry and program files but it keeps coming back. From what I've been able to gather, the fix is in the REBOOT.... well, it's keeping me from rebooting. When I shut down, it will close my windows but I have to do a hard turn-off. I've tried changing AutoShutDown in regedit from 0 to 1 but that does nothing. I've tried to run chkdsk /F but it won't let me. It will do a general CHKDSK on start up but that's not found any issues. I can't do a system restore because the system won't reboot. So while I have enough bravery to likely screw things up, I must surrender and say -- Help me!! ![]() Griz |
