Re: PopUp Problems
That's what is what supposed to do. :)
Download this tool and save it directly to your desktop - not a folder on the desktop - the command is tailored for the desktop location. Click Start>All Programs>Accessories and right click the Run command to run as administrator. When the Run command box opens, copy/paste the following bolded text into the Run box and click OK: "%userprofile%\desktop\Inherit.exe" "c:\ProgramData\Trend Micro" A message should pop up when through, please tell me what it says. |

Re: PopUp Problems
Copy Inherit.exe to the c:\ProgramData\Trend Micro\PC-cillin folder.
Make sure it is inside the PC-cillin folder. The following folders are also located inside that PC-cillin folder:
One at a time, drag each of the above listed folders into Inherit.exe. After you drag a folder into it, wait for a 'successful' message before you drag the next one into it. Tell me if you can access Trend Micro now. Last edited by Ried; 11-02-2009 at 08:19 PM. |

Re: PopUp Problems
No luck.
I can manage to open up the miniwindow (that is displayed in the middle of the screen while it's booting and after i clicked it) to pop up and freeze, but when i force quit and reopen it the same original problem occurs. |

Re: PopUp Problems
I'm afraid only you can answer that. How did you install it the first time? Did you download it or order it from the internet?

Re: PopUp Problems
I'm not quite sure, I'll have to check.
But also, I've noticed the space in my C drive fluctuating. When I turned on my computer a little bit ago it has 33.1gb empty, now it has 32.1 and I've done nothing to it. Last edited by Zoopboing; 11-07-2009 at 08:28 AM. |

Re: PopUp Problems
Well I'm really short on time, so I haven't had the time to mess with Trend atm, should be able to this weekend though.
But I ran a recently modified file scan. What results should I be seeing if I haven't done anything to it? Lots of folders with names of random letters&numbers, and a bunch of folders with x86 and then some letters/numbers |

Re: PopUp Problems
Please show me an example of what you're talking about. I need the full path and folder name. Perhaps a screen shot of Windows Explorer that shows all of those.
In Windows a screenshot of the entire monitor, complete with taskbar, can be copied to the system clipboard by pressing the Print screen key (normally located in the top row on the right-hand side of the keyboard).. You can then paste the clipboard into a program like MS Paint to save it as an image file or paste it directly into a document.

Re: PopUp Problems
Still nothing changed, I've had my computer off for nearly all of the past week or 2.
Here's 2 of 3 screenshots from a recently modified files scan, still not done running but it's been nearly an hour. Still more files being added, however slowly. In the past hour, free HD space has gone down from 37.2 to 36.6gb |
