On-Going Problem (Cannot Get Rid Of Problem(s)

Hi, i'm new to the forums.
I been having this problem since the summer and havn't done anything about, because everything i seem to try does not work.

My computer has been really slow over the past couple months. Beside's that I think i come up on some weird adware virus. At the most random times my computer plays a bunch of ads in the background meaning that there is no window or anything, its just audio and it could play from 2 minutes to hours. It has been really annoying over the past months because i can't listen to music or have the sound on. When this happens i log off my computer, and as i log off it ask me if i want to end "grsclass" and i always press it and it ask me too if i want to end compaq connections agent but i doubt that is nothing. I have avast on my computer as well as a zonealrm fire wall. No virus/malware/adware/spyware removal can get rid of this problem. And all these trials don't do anything besides scan. Some programs detect spyware and trojans and all of that but some don't. This problem is getting annoying to the point where i just want to buy a new computer. I also reinstalled the OP but i still had the problems. My friend who is pretty knowlegable with computers told me to reformat but i don't want to lose any of my files.

So if you could please help me with my problem, i will greatly appreciate it.
Thank you in advance
