Help me get rid of this Malware

I got one of those search viruses that redirects your search somewhere else. But thats not the worst part. Every time i try to run any virus scan it immiediatly closes down. And even more disturbing as i was typing this my text repeatedly kept changing to freaky characters and i had to copy and paste my post over and over again. Someone pleez help me. I also cant run hijackthis so that doesnt help either. I feel so helpless right now.
