Worm or Trojan from Personal anti virus.
My puter was working fine and today I can't get into my email, online or anything. This window keeps coming up I have a worm and need to download Personal Anti virus for 59.95 to remove it. I even tried loading Norton and won't even let me enter my activation key. Can't type (nothing comes up) can't open a web site or anything. So I'm using another computer to find out what to do. Keep in mind I'm no whiz at this stuff, so try to take it easy on me. lol

If you can follow the steps outlined below in normal mode. If you cannot download the tools, try safe mode with networking. Restart the machine and as soon as it starts up; start tapping F8. Select safe mode with networking from options. Log in to you normal account[username] and download the tools required in out sticky below. You can also download the tools to a clean pc and transfer the tools to the infected machine using a USB stick/Flashdrive; or any other removable media device. =================== We want all our members to perform the steps outlined in the link I'll give you below, before posting for assistance.
