BSoD because of Trojan - How to get rid of?
I was surfing the web when randomly my computer froze. After it unfroze, my antivirus showed that a trojan had just been blocked and disposed of. After I shut the computer off and restarted, I get the BSoD seconds after the desktop loads. The computer works perfectly in Safe Mode, and I have run full scans using AVG and a maleware program. Still having the same problem
Additional Details Error is: STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0x89c958EC, 0xF78CE868, 0x00000000) I ran ESET as well overnight and it completed, still have BSoD. The computer works perfectly fine in safe mode, but just seconds after going to the desktop in normal mode, I get BSoD. Thanks! |

Re: BSoD because of Trojan - How to get rid of?
Hello and Welcome to TSF.
We want all our members to perform the steps outlined in the link I'll give you below, before posting for assistance. There's a sticky at the top of this forum, and a Quote:
------------------------------------------------------ Please follow our pre-posting process outlined here: NEW INSTRUCTIONS - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help After running through all the steps, you shall have a proper set of logs. Please post them in a new thread, as this one shall be closed. If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply. Please note that the Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help forum is extremely busy, and it may take a while to receive a reply. If you only have Safe Mode available, run the scans in Safe Mode. ------------------------------------------------------ |
