Ntoskrnl-hook......???
I've signed up for these forums looking for a bit of help regarding this issue.
Recently, in the past couple of days, I had my computer tell me that I had a virus. I have McAfee and have since scanned a few times, on each occasion the scan telling me that the problem has been found and fixed. The fact however that it keeps telling me that it's found the same issue means that it hasn't been destroyed at all. The scan tells me what's been found (and subsequently destroyed) is NTOSKRNL-HOOK and that it's a Trojan. Also something to do with it being a Generic Rootkit.d!rootkit Since this virus first came about I've also since had the dreaded blue screen of death on a couple of occasions. Now you'll have to excuse me as I am quite computer illiterate compared to most people on here I'm sure. I use the computer for the internet, photos, vidoes, music, etc.... Other than the basic operating systems I am not that clued up on the whole runnings of the machine. I would however welcome any advice anyone can give me with getting rid of this trojan. I have downloaded a few different anti-vius/malware programmes and tried and failed to see if they woule work on it. So far nothing. Again, any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. |
