System Security Virus and possibly others
Last night I was trying to download live drama through torrents, I guess I clicked a bad link because I suddenly had a virus attack.
It was due to a virus called Advanced Virus Removal. I got rid of it, and everything seemed to be fine. Then, a little later, I had a lot of errors from svchost.exe having to shut down. I restarted my comp a few times, and they seemed to go away, so I surfed the web a little more, and went to bed. It's probably noteworthy to add that I BSOD'd quite a few times right after getting rid of Advanced Virus Removal, and svchost.exe I didn't note it at that time since my computer has a history if BSOD'ing for no apparent reason. Today when I checked my computer, it was fine for a bit, then, as I was gaming, my computer froze. I restarted my computer to find another virus called the System Security Virus. --It might help to add that I had a toolbar icon saying downloading updates when I turned my computer on, but I thought it was the Windows Automatic Updater, so I paid it no attention-- I googled to find ways to solve the problem, including MalwareBytes, and manually ending the processes, but when I try to open the task manager, it automatically closes, and when i tried to run msconfig to delete the startup entries, nothing popped up. Then, I tried to run my computer in safe mode, which ended in a loop where it would load up to this point, where it would then end up restarting. Help guys Thanks in advance --This is copypasted from my thread in another tech site, but I didn't get any responses after two days, so I"m posting this here. I hope you guys can help-- My computer's been unplugged, with the USB wireless taken out, to prevent further viruses being downloaded. |
